POSITION SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will be a highly energetic, creative and community focused, grassroots Business Development Associate with direct experience working with local businesses to create long-term partnerships. Must be able to work in a proactive environment with self-accountability. This individual is responsible for directly creating referral partnerships with local businesses around all SkinMD locations. The ideal candidate will bring excellent customer service skills, credibility, and high integrity, coupled with an excellent work ethic. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on connecting with people, creating community-driven campaigns, and leveraging hyper-local marketing strategies to grow our patient base.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Community outreach & partnerships building
- Establish and nurture relationships with local businesses, influencers, and other potential referral sources.
- Coordinate and participate in community events, expos, and networking opportunities to promote the SkinMD services.
- Identify and secure co-marketing opportunities with local businesses to increase visibility.
- Serve as the brand ambassador for SkinMD, building trust and awareness within the local community.
- Event planning and execution
- Organize in-house events, such as open houses, educational workshops, and VIP nights to showcase services and products.
- Plan and execute external pop-up events at strategic locations to generate leads and appointments.
- Manage all aspects of events, including promotion, setup, staffing, and follow-ups with leads.
- Grassroots marketing campaigns
- Develop hyper-local campaigns, such as door-to-door flyer distribution, direct mail, and localized social media ads.
- Manage promotional efforts like referral programs, loyalty incentives, and special community discounts.
- Track the ROI of grassroots campaigns and adjust strategies based on performance data.
- Brand awareness & content creation
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content tailored to the local audience.
- Utilize platforms like Facebook Groups, Nextdoor, and local forums to engage with the community authentically.
- Regularly post updates about events, specials, and client success stories to drive online and offline traffic.
- Other duties as assigned
Specific Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required with proven experience).
- 2-4 years of experience in grassroots marketing, event coordination, or community outreach, preferably in the aesthetics, health, or wellness industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with a passion for building relationships.
- Creative thinker with a hands-on approach to marketing and partnerships.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends for events and community activities.
- Proficient in social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment
Location: Primary responsibility will be out in the field working directly with patients and referral sources. There will be times when this individual is asked to come to a clinic or office location for group meetings or events.
Job Type: Full time
Compensation
- Base: $Competitive
- Bonus: 0-100% (depending on performance)
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this role, the individual is required to talk to patients and hear from patients. This employee will be responsible for using their hands to engage in their duties of the role. This individual may sometimes be required to stand, sit, twist, reach with their arms, lift objects, climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crawl. This individual may be required to lift objects up to 25 pounds. This individual will need to be able to meet vision requirements that include, but are not limited to reading reports, walking through hallways, greeting patients, presenting written materials, and focusing on specific objects.
